A time to reflect
Most of us, these days, have a notion of what constitutes a healthy lifestyle. We are conscious of healthy eating principles, taking exercise and having sufficient quality sleep to keep our bodies healthy.
And yet, despite the strides that have been made in medical science and technology, we still struggle to comprehend how our brains, minds and emotions orchestrate our mental wellbeing at the very deepest level.
Reflecting, from time to time, on who we are, where we have come from, and how we have reacted to our experiences and relationships can be extremely beneficial.
However, there are times when life can be overwhelming and things get out of balance, - and when this happens, sometimes it is helpful to seek support to explore the way forward.
For many people this means counselling, a form of talking therapy. Making the decision to seek counselling is a courageous one, and finding the right therapist is hugely important. I hope my website will give you a flavour of who I am and how I work.
To help you on your healing journey, there are sometimes long-standing emotional obstacles or complex psychological issues, holding you back, that need addressing. Professional counselling is often helpful in reducing and removing these barriers.
With the appropriate kind of therapeutic treatment and intervention, adjustments in your perception of yourself, and others, can often be achieved through courses of counselling therapy. This can lead to enhanced self-esteem, the restoration of balance, inner calm and acceptance.
